Abstract The collection comprises a late-18th century bible owned by Lucinda Coleman, with accompanying provenance documentation and locket wrapping. Lucinda Coleman was born in Sag Harbor, New York between 1763-1771 and died in 1849. During the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783), a band of British soldiers invaded the Coleman kitchen, raiding the oven, and stealing loaves of bread.
