Summary

In this recording, the Chuck and Jan Rosenak interview Johnson Antonio at is residence. The interview is conducted in English, however, throughout the interview Antonio receives assistance from a woman, presumably his wife, Lorena Antonio. She occasionally is heard on the recording translating the Rosenaks’s questions from English to Navajo.

In the interview, Antonio discusses growing up on a farm and his school-age years. In his adulthood, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years. At the time of the interview, Johnson said he had only been carving for two years.
