Scope and Contents
The Guennol Collection is a collection of artwork assembled by the Alastair Bradly Martins on long-term loan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum. The second volume of the collection catalog was assembled in 1982; Earnest wrote several chapters on items in the collection by American folk artists. This series contains early drafts of each chapter with handwritten notes and edits, as well as two notebooks with research notes and early versions of the typewritten drafts. The correspondence is organized chronologically and then alphabetically related to the publication and research for the collection manuscript. There is also a carbon copy of the completed manuscript.
