Photographs separated from correspondence (box 1, folder 2), undated
Scope and Contents
This series contains materials related to The Art of the Decoy: American Bird Carving (Schiffer Publishing, 1982). This includes photographs, handwritten drafts, and notes, as well as scrapbooks with collaged elements. The correspondence with other decoy collectors and artists often include photographs, original watercolors, and drawings of decoys.
The photographs in the scrapbook had become detached from the pages because the glue had worn off over time. The scrapbook was photographed in its original order before placing the loose photographs in sleeves. These images may be found in the file, Scrapbook for Art of the Decoy.
